Viewing

What will people see in the internet version?

People watching online will see the service as if they were in the room. We have a couple of cameras at each site to make sure we capture the whole event. For the majority of the service the camera will focus on the person speaking from the lecturn and we also have the ability to show the viewing audience the people in the congregation and any slideshows/DVD tributes played throughout the service.

How do people log on?

At the time of booking a unique weblink is generated for you to circulate to family and friends. Simply click on the link and the dedicated web page will open up and the video will start to play/stream automatically 10 mins prior to the scheduled start time of the service. If you can’t find the link don’t panic. You can visit our “view” page and search for your funeral service by name or date – then click on the link to the dedicated webpage. If your service is password protected you will be prompted for it before the video starts playing. If you have any trouble, our technical support team will be available.

Can the people viewing online see a slide show or DVD that we play at the service?

Yes – People on line can see a slideshow/DVD playing at the same time as the people at the service. The slideshow/DVD will play in the same video player screen as the rest of the funeralcast.

Please visit our "test" page in the "view" section of our website to help you determine if you have flash installed on your computer already. Yes - All funeralcast services are recorded for archive purposes and as a back up whilst the live stream is taking place. A copy of the service will be available on line within 48 hours of the conclusion of the service./p>

What happens if we miss the start of the service?

If you join the service after it has started the video will still play automatically and will play from wherever the service is up to (just like when you switch on the TV). If you want to view from the start, you will have to wait for the archived version to be available on line, which will happen within 48 hours after the service.
